To ensure the safety of all patrons and guests, Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre have created the following code of conduct and policy guidelines. Please review and follow the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund.

Accessibility Policy

Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre is proud to offer accessible seating for guests with mobility needs. To obtain this first-come-first-served seating please call the box office at 570-344-1111 at least two weeks before your ticketed event’s start date.

Arrival Policy

Showtimes start promptly at the time listed on your ticket. Late-comers will be seated at the discretion of the management. The late seating policy varies from show to show.

Bag Policy

Large bags are not allowed in the venue. All bags (camera bags, purses, backpacks, etc) are subject to search upon entering Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre. 
Please have your bag ready for search before entering entrance doors to accelerate the process.

Camera Policy

Cameras are not allowed in the theatre without prior written consent. If a specific show or event allows cameras, then it will be detailed in the event or program guide.

Cancellation Policy

If an event is canceled due to inclement weather or artist cancellation, then ticket holders will be informed as soon as possible through media and the website. Please contact the venue at 570-344-1111  to ask about refunds or postponements.

Cell Phones, PDAs, Pagers, and Alarms Policy

Please disable or turn off all electronic devices that may generate audio or light upon entry to the theatre.

Children Policy

It is the policy of the Scranton Cultural Center that all attendees must have a ticket for entry to an event. As a courtesy to audiences, very young children are not encouraged to attend, except for shows specifically for children or a show designated as family-friendly. Children, when admitted with a ticket, must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Persons disrupting a performance will be asked to leave (this includes, but is not limited to, coughing, crying, talking) until the disturbance has been corrected.

Dress Code Policy

There is no official dress code. Any attire that complements the spirit of the performance or occasion you are attending is the way to go!

Food and Beverage Policy

Outside food and beverages are not allowed within Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre. You can purchase refreshments from the concessions stand before the show or during intermissions. Please check the program guide for details.

Lost and Found 

Lost something during the show? Ask event staff during the show for help with finding the lost and found station. After the show please call the box office at 570-344-1111. Be prepared to leave your full contact information and detailed information about the lost item(s).
Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre does not claim responsibility for lost or missing items.

Prohibited Items

This is a partial list of items that are not allowed within the venue.

  • Weapons of any type—including firearms, knives, sharp-edged objects
    mace and pepper spray
  • Weapons with a carry permit are also prohibited
  • Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted in the venue
  • Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances or paraphernalia associated with drug use
  • Backpacks, briefcases, or purses larger than 12”x12”x6”• Outside food and beverage
    Computers, laptops or tablets
  • Animals.
    • Certified service animals may be allowed at certain events. Please call the box office at least two weeks before your tickted event.
  • Noise making devices: air horns, drums, whistles
  • Audio or video recording devices, professional cameras or cameras with removable lenses, selfie sticks or tripods
  • No professional photography without authorization
  • Laser pens/pointers of any type
  • Flag poles or any support frames for banners/signs• Fireworks or any other incendiary devices
  • Strollers are not permitted into the seating areas
  • Any other item deemed unacceptable by the event/building management team

Refunds Policy

There are no refunds available for any Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre event unless otherwise specified by Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre management. If an event is canceled or postponed then you can call 570-344-1111  to discuss postponing your ticket to the new date or receiving a refund.

Seating Policy

If you are uncomfortable or have any concerns, please contact an Usher or the House Manager immediately to address the matter.

Smoking Policy

For the comfort and enjoyment of our patrons, the Theatres at the Thousand Oaks Bank of America Performing Arts Center are designated as a smoke-and tobacco-free environment. Smoking and the use of all tobacco products, the use of smokeless tobacco products, and the use of unregulated nicotine products (e.g., “e-cigarettes”) are prohibited anywhere within the interior of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theatre and Janet & Ray Scherr Forum.
